The prettiest posy...

This was such a pretty, soft, whimsical posy, it was so sweet it almost made me feel a bit teary! So nice to work with gorgeous spring flowers, the fragrance was beautiful.

Reception arrangement in pinks, creams, white.

From the Bride & Groom..."Dear Cezanne, I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you very much for your beautiful work for our wedding. The flowers were just lovely and gave the day a beautiful feel. Everybody said how lovely my posy was as well! Congratulations and best of luck for all your future endeavours. Wishing you much success."
From the Mother of the Bride... "Dear Cezanne, Thankyou so much for the absolutely beautiful arrangements, bouquets, corsages etc. Your artistry helped set the scene for a really lovely wedding."

Texture

I absolutely love to use textures and interesting flowers and foliages in a bouquet - it creates a very unique posy, one that you can guarantee not to be found in every flower shop! It is especially nice when some of these materials come from your own, or someone special's garden. These oncidium orchids were a gift from my husband on Valentines Day. Each year he gives me a flowering orchid plant to add to my collection! The Panda plant is from my Grandmother's collection of succulents and kalanchoe's.

I found this cute retro set of anodised cups at the Antique shop!

Dahlia Season

Autumn means Dahlias and Rose hips are in season! I saw these at the market this week and had to have some for the house - they're placed in a favourite red Bison vase.

When a florist has a wedding...

Albert and I were married in Autumn 08, at Woodlands of Marburg.
We were wed in the little Chapel on the property and had a dusk cocktail reception under a white marquee on the lawn. Our friends and family were able to celebrate and stay the night at the beautiful accommodation on location.

Our little wedding party!

My Bouquet

 Bridesmaid's Bouquet

It was wonderful to have all the flowers that I could dream of! And I ensured that I had time to create my own and my sister's bouquets, using favourite flowers, foliages, hues and textures. My favourite of all flowers is the orchid, which featured in the bouquets, alongside beautiful dahlia's, david austen roses, snow berry, flannel flower, aloecacia leaf and chain of hearts. My wonderful florist friend Bart created the arrangements for the chapel and reception - I had him on location working for two days prior!

I always encourage people to allow their floral allowance to reflect how much they value gorgeous design and a beautiful product - and I certainly followed my own advice, ensuring that we had an abundance of extraordinary flowers on our Wedding day, as flowers are a beauty that I most certainly treasure and love.
