This weekend I had the pleasure of making wedding bouquets for a photo
shoot, such fun to let loose and have free reign over the design and
materials. Lots of interesting bits used, including salmone roses,
privot berry, old fashioned geranium leaves and flowers, a giant dahlia
(that I have proudly grown), wild grasses, maiden hair fern, hyacinth
and thai basil! I knew I had this unusual colour scheme in mind - deep
red, purples, chocolate and a salmon pink/apricot, but it wasn't till
someone asked me what my inspiration was that I paused to think and
realised.... I'd seen the colours and loved them on this little Poppies for Grace
card that I'd purchased a while back. Funny how the mind works,
obviously had that little bit of inspiration tucked deep in my thoughts
and it was waiting to burst out in the form of a fresh floral posy! |
